“Yesterday I quoted to our acquaintances the almost dying words of the elder Jonah (Ignatenko) - the Odessa elder. I told them: “Behold, the elder said:“ A year after my death, great upheavals will begin, a war will begin, and famine will begin. ” He died on December 20, 2012.
“This will last three years,” said the elder Jonah, from the fourteenth to the sixteenth. And it will end with the Great War. "

Father replied: “It will start from a small country, smaller than Russia. Elder Jonah of Odessa (in the world Vladimir Afanasyevich Ignatenko, 1925-2012) was the abbot of the Odessa Holy Dormition Monastery. During the Great Patriotic War in Georgia he worked at a defense enterprise. Then he was a tractor driver, a miner, and also worked in the oil fields of Azerbaijan until 1948. Then he moved to Moldova, where he lived until 1970. It is believed that Jonah began his path to church destiny after he fell ill with a severe form of tuberculosis. Seeing how patients with this disease die, he decided to devote himself to monasticism and service to God.
In 1971, Father Jonah was admitted to the brethren of the Holy Uspensky Odessa Monastery.
In 1973, novice Vladimir was tonsured into monasticism by Metropolitan Sergius (Petrov) of Odessa and Kherson.

But still, what awaits Ukraine?
The answer to this question is very important for us, therefore, before giving an answer to it, let us use the advice of Saint Sophronius, Patriarch of Jerusalem.
The Fatherland Scriptures say:
“A novice monk came to the famous ascetic, asking him to show him the path of perfection in order to learn to see events with spiritual vision.
“This night,” said the elder, “go to the cemetery and praise the dead buried there until morning, and then come and tell me how they will receive your praises.
The next day, the monk returns from the cemetery:

All night long I praised these dead with a loud voice, called them saints, blessed fathers, great righteous and saints of God, lamps of the universe, treasures of wisdom, salt of the earth. He attributed to them all the virtues that he only read about in the Holy Scriptures and in the Hellenic books.

Let us follow this advice, that is, we will try to see Ukraine's “tomorrow” with spiritual eyes, that is, indifferently, without any sympathy and preferences.
Someone will say:
"What's the point in that?"
The fact of the matter is that the “tomorrow” of Ukraine will put before Russia “the day after tomorrow” the same questions and tasks, already visible with our own eyes, the solution of which will require the organized efforts of an entire nation. In addition, excursions into the Future, perhaps, will not be useless for someone and for solving the problems of today.
The vitality of the modern "liberal" government of Ukraine depends on the fact that the Ukrainians do not see the politicians who can replace it - on the one hand, and financial support from Moscow for the Yatsenyuk government - on the other. And also because the majority of Ukrainians do not see the clear program in the name of which the modern government must be overthrown. The nebula "tomorrow" after the departure of the leaders of "Euromaidan" paralyzes the energy of Ukrainians "today". After the "hopes" of 2014, the people are tempted enough by practical experience not to succumb to too tempting temptations.
Will it be different tomorrow in Ukraine?
No, although all Ukrainians today dream of a reasonable and honest government.
But can they, who survived the reign of four presidents from 1991 to 2014, count on good luck in modern conditions?
The political “fever” after the collapse of the USSR and the new slavery that emerged from its bowels killed both ordinary Ukrainians and the Ukrainian intelligentsia the taste for pure politics. Today Ukraine will accept any power that will replace modern politicians without inquiring about their legal titles. The only thing she will expect from the new rulers is the fulfillment of the “next national” worldview.
Therefore, in order to understand the Future of Ukraine, let us turn to Michel Nostradamus (1503-1566), who was a truly believing person, firmly convinced that the Providence of God exists and affects the fate of mankind.

The first edition of The Prophecies of Master Michel Nostradamus was published in Lyon in the early summer of 1555 by the printer Mace Bonoma. It contained the first three centuries and was opened by the "Message" to the son of Nostradamus ("Nostradamus Michel. Les Proph; ties de Michel Nostradamus ad Caesarem Nostradamum filium", A Lyon, chez Mac; Bonhomme, 1555) [not a single copy has survived to this day ]. The second edition of the Prophecies of Master Michel Nostradamus, published in the same printing house of Lyon by Antoine du Rhône in 1557, (“Les Proph; ties de M. Nostradamus. It includes, in addition to the "Letter to the son of Cesar", seven centuries, of which the seventh contains only 42 quatrains, and in place of the last quatrain the sixth is an unnumbered quatrain: a warning to ignorant critics [only 642 quatrains, also not preserved]. The circulation of the second edition is not known exactly; researchers write about two to three thousand books.
Some biographers believe that three copies survived from the second edition: the first is in the Dutch city of Utrecht, the second in Budapest, and the third in the Book Museum of the Russian State Library in Moscow. The first copy includes 642 quatrains, and the other two - 639.

This 1566 edition, the earliest extant full text of the Centuries, contains the Epistle to Cesar, 946 quatrains and Epistolus to King Henry II (AL "INVICTISSIME, TRESPUIS-SANT, ET treschrestien Henry Roy de France second, Michel Nostradamus son tres humble, tresobeissant seruiteur et subiect, victoire et felicite), which Nostradamus wrote in 1557.
In 1588, Roffe's edition was published, in which six new quatrains of the 8th century were published, the so-called "double quatrains".
The point was put by Jean Aimé de Chavigny, who in the book "The First Face of the French Janus" (Lyon, 1594), under the name of fragments of the XI-th and XII-th Centuries, published an additional thirteen quatrains, plus he replaced the quatrain 6.100.
As a result of decryption of quatrains, it is now accepted to consider:
The first two quatrains (corresponding to 1555).
In the 16th century, from 1557 to 1599, 86 quatrains were encrypted.
For the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries - 800 quatrains (two hundred per century).
For the 21st century: from 2000 to 2037 - 76 quatrains.
Two quatrains summarize the entire chain of prophecies.
The divine plan indicated by Nostradamus will be fulfilled to the end by 2037, therefore the years of quatrains coincide with the "Revelation" of John the Theologian, the "Vision" of the prophet Daniel and the divinations of other seers].

For 2013, the prophet put quatrain 1 (042):

["Calendar" in the Roman calendar meant the first day of each month. Damant and Psell - famous Neoplatonists wrote books about devilish forces and demons in human form].
"Orange Revolution" - a wide campaign of peaceful protests, rallies, pickets, strikes, which took place in a number of cities of Ukraine from November 22, 2004 to January 2005. It began after November 21, 2004, the Central Election Commission of Ukraine announced the preliminary results of the presidential elections, according to which Viktor Yanukovych, who was then Prime Minister, won by 3%. Supporters of Yanukovych’s main rival in the election, Viktor Yushchenko, believed that Yanukovych’s voting advantage was achieved due to electoral irregularities. "Euromaidan" is a massive, months-long protest in the center of Kikva, which began on November 21, 2013 in response to the suspension by the Azarov government of preparations for signing an association agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, and supported by demonstrations of the population in other cities of Ukraine.
On December 1, there is a popular assembly on the Maidan, and the radicals seized the building of the Kyiv City Council and the House of Trade Unions, and also tried to storm the Presidential Administration. Among the protesters, there has been a split into radicals and "moderate".

Restrictive political and economic measures introduced against Russia, which, in the opinion of international organizations and individual states, was involved in the destabilization of the situation in Ukraine, as well as Russia's response. The initiator of the imposition of sanctions in order to isolate Russia internationally was the US leadership, under strong pressure from which the EU countries joined the sanctions. The sanctions were also supported by the G7 states and some other countries that are partners of the United States and the European Union.
Since the beginning of the Crimean crisis, the position of NATO and EU member states has been to condemn Russian interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine ("Russian aggression") and to support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Russia was required to comply with the norms of international law and existing international obligations, stop interfering in the internal affairs of Ukraine and move on to resolving all controversial issues with Ukraine through political dialogue - in particular, within the framework of the so-called contact group on Ukraine. The Russian leadership, for its part, refused to recognize the legitimacy of the de facto new authorities of Ukraine, which, in its opinion, came to rule the country through an unconstitutional armed coup and do not have a national mandate, and therefore Russia refused to consider them as an equal participant in foreign policy dialogue. Russia called on the Western countries, which have acted as guarantors of the agreement on the settlement of the political crisis, signed by President Yanukovych with the opposition on February 21, 2014, to strictly implement the provisions of this agreement. Russia's refusal to accept the demands of the Western community led to a sharp chill in relations with NATO, the European Union, the Council of Europe and the member states of these organizations, and in the future - to the introduction of political and economic sanctions against Russia.
The organizers of the sanctions, including France, accused Russia of actions aimed at undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine, in particular, supplying weapons to pro-Russian rebels. On May 30, she revoked the associated membership of the Russian parliament in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

So little is left of European humanism that the restoration of qualified executions is only a matter of time, although the high-profile murders of writers and journalists have already begun.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union on 01.01.1992, the population of Ukraine was 51,142 thousand people. As of 01.01.2013, according to Ukrainian sociological departments, as a result of "reforms" the population of Ukraine was 47 349 thousand people. Today, as of 01.01.2016, the same Ukrainian sociological departments write that the population of Ukraine is approximately 34 to 35 million people, excluding the "occupied" population of Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk.
The population of Crimea is determined by the sociological departments of Ukraine at 2,427 thousand people, the population of the Donetsk republic at 3,827 thousand people, not controlled by Kiev, the population of the Luhansk republic at 2,108 thousand people, not controlled by Kiev.
So: if we subtract 2,427 (Crimea), 3,827 (Donetsk) and 2,108 (Lugansk) from the 47,349 thousand population as of 01.01.2013, then we get that the population of Ukraine should be 38,987 thousand.
Someone from the supporters of reforms on the "movement" of Ukraine from East to West will now say: about 500 thousand left for Europe, and 1500 thousand "Colorado" fled to the Russian Federation.

Where in two years of the "revolution of dignity" two million citizens of Ukraine disappeared.

“In our troubled times, many people are asking themselves: what will happen next? Politicians and political scientists, scientists and ignoramuses, astrologers and other fortune-tellers are now trying to broadcast about the future, but ... more often than not, they are mistaken, "hitting the sky."
Meanwhile, in the Church of God since the Old Testament times there is a whole host of true prophets who have always falsely predicted the Future. There are such prophets in our time. One of them, about. Jonah, began to ascetic in the Odessa St. Assumption Monastery at the end of the Soviet era. I remember well those times - the second half of the 70s of the last century. We, who had just come to faith, young Odessa Orthodox, in our attempts, so to speak, to "nest" to the Church were like kittens thrown under the church threshold. Which were originally "picked up" by Fr. Jonah, then a simple monk.
I remember a small house on the territory of a monastery, which he was in charge of. There was a kind of monastery power plant, consisting of several diesel engines decommissioned from submarines that generate electricity. Last thing Soviet authority sold to monks at such an incredible price that it was more profitable to produce it ourselves; especially considering the constant power outages in the area.
And so, I remember, we are sitting in this house and amid the even hum of diesel engines, mouth open, listening to stories from monastic life and the Lives of the Saints, which the future elder told us. And which for us, people who grew up and brought up in atheism, were real spiritual manna! Even then, Fr. Jonah was distinguished by his deepest humility and love for God and his neighbors. For which, apparently, the Lord gave him His grace-filled gifts of healings and prophecies (cf. James 4: 6). I personally had the opportunity to be convinced of the latter much later. When the prophetic words of the elder about one clergyman, because of the latter's disobedience to his advice, were fulfilled, unfortunately, in the most terrible way.
But I will pass directly to the well-known prophecy of Schema-Archimandrite Jonah. The first time I heard it in this form. They say that before his blissful death, which followed in 2012, he predicted the following: “The first Easter after my death will be full; the second is bloody; the third is hungry, and the fourth is victorious (victorious). " And indeed, at least so far, the events in our Ukraine, where Fr. Jonah, evolved precisely according to this prediction. The first Easter after the death of the elder, Easter in 2013 was indeed relatively well-fed; the second in 2014 - bloody, for the massacre in Odessa and the war in Donbass were brewing; the third Easter in 2015 was really hungry, because by this time the cost of everything (except salaries and pensions) had tripled. Now it remains to fulfill the end of this prophecy about the victorious (victorious) Easter of 2016, which is soon to come.
But here a natural question arises about the reliability of this prophecy. Of course, if it was really spoken by the elder, Schema-Archimandrite Jonah, then it is quite reliable. But personally I did not hear it from his lips; and then, perhaps, it is a figment of someone's fantasies ?!
But even the first glance at this prophecy testifies that this is not so. I first heard it in the fall of 2014. And, of course, by this time a number of events, predicted by him, had already taken place. Therefore, under the guise of "prophecy" it would be possible to speak about the already well-fed Easter in the 13th; about the bloody one in the 14th; it was even possible even then, by deduction, to guess that on the 15th Easter would be hungry. But who in the fall of 14th, in the midst of ATO, could have guessed that the next Easter would be no longer bloody, but only hungry ?! But the Minsk agreements (Minsk-2), which significantly reduced the level of bloodshed in Donbass, were concluded only in the winter of the 15th!
There is one more thing that deserves special attention. Many reduce this prophecy only to the events in Ukraine and the war in Donbass. In my opinion, this is not true. In fact, the disasters that have befallen the people of Ukraine, and especially the inhabitants of Donbass, are only a part of those disasters that our country and our people have experienced over the past almost 100 years. During this relatively short time in the historical perspective, we had: direct participation in two world wars, moreover, the second was especially bloody for our people; there were three revolutions; there was a long civil war and other wars; there were monstrous repressions by the Bolsheviks; there was the greatest persecution of the Church in the history of Christianity; there were periodic famines and total robberies, accompanied by complete impoverishment of the population, etc. So the current Ukrainian events are not the disease itself, but only one of its symptoms or stages.
A natural question arises, or rather three at once: why did this happen; when will it end; and will it end at all ?!
Answering the first of these questions, I will say the following. In my opinion, these disasters are the result of the betrayal by our people of the Emperor Nicholas II, which led to the overthrow of the autocracy and the villainous ritual murder of the Tsar and members of his Family.
Why this seemingly ancient and private crime led to such unprecedented catastrophic consequences - I have already written many times. Because, as the apostle prophesied. Paul, the antichrist will not come until “until he is taken from the environment now withholding” (2 Thess. 2: 7). By "Retainer" the holy fathers understood the Roman state and the Roman emperor, producing the word "Retainer" from the word "state" - the Roman State. But since Russia is the Third Rome, the Holy Passion-bearer Tsar Nicholas II is the last Roman Emperor. The overthrow of which was supposed to lead to the coming of the Antichrist, monstrous calamities and a quick end of the world, which, according to the prophecies of the Apocalypse, just should have come soon (3.5 years) after the world accession of the Antichrist.
However, in the 17th year of the last century, and throughout that century, by the grace of God and the Mother of God, this did not happen. It did not happen because the Queen of Heaven became the Queen of the Russian Land, which was clearly shown by the appearance of the icon of the Mother of God "Reigning" - on March 2 (according to the present), 1917, on the day of the so-called abdication of Tsar Nicholas II. This phenomenon of the icon "Sovereign" Theotokos showed that She became that "Retainer" or "Retainer" (note the same connection of words: Sovereign - Retainer), Which does not allow the Antichrist to come. For on that day, our people betrayed the Passion-Bearer Tsar, when the army and people did not rise up against the insane conspirators who unlawfully alienate the Tsar from the Kingdom. And it is from this moment that the misfortunes of our people and country begin: the lost war with Germany, almost won under the Tsar; the Bolshevik coup; the forcible introduction of communism (war communism); Civil War; famine and pestilence - famines in places, etc.
But, if this is the case, then these hundred years should end on March 2, 2017, i.e. somewhat less than a year later. Considering that the Lord “enmity lower in the age” (that is, a little less than a hundred years), Easter 2016, which will be May 1 (according to the present), is all the more suitable for this date. Therefore, it is quite possible that it is from her that the Lord will stop the actions of these executions against our people, much more grievous than the Egyptian ones! Moreover, this prophecy is not even an old man's, all the more so transmitted to us through many intermediaries. No, this prophecy is contained in Holy Scripture- Psalm 102: 9, and therefore it is quite reliable! And the words of Elder Jonah about this date, connected with this Easter, is fully consistent with this biblical prophecy!
But I'm only human, so I could be wrong. After all, as you know, man only proposes, and God disposes. Perhaps the Lord counts these hundred years not from the moment of renunciation of the Tsar of our people (i.e., not from March 2, 1917), but from the day of the villainous assassination of the Tsar, i.e. from 17th or 18th July 1918? Perhaps, but then all of the above still remains valid. Only it is necessary to slightly move the time frame of upcoming events relative to the last date.
Perhaps finally I am wrong, i.e. too literally understood the words of Holy Scripture: "Below in the age of hostility" (Psalm 102: 9)? Perhaps, here under the century is meant not a hundred years, but another, indefinite period of time? Possibly, but it's easy to check, just wait until mid-July 2018. If a little earlier than this time, the grave calamities over our people and country do not stop, then I was wrong.
What are we to do then?
If we have preserved the Orthodox faith, then we should endure even then (for only “he who endured ... to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13) and thank God like this: “Glory to God for everything”!

Biography

The worldly name of the spiritual father is Ignatenko Vladimir Afanasevich. He was born on October 10, 1925 in the Kirovograd region (Ukraine). Mother Pelagia gave birth to a boy at the age of 45. He was the ninth child of a humble, pious family. Father Athanasius named his son after Prince Vladimir. At that time they lived poorly, but joyfully. Hard times

The authorities in the 30s fiercely waged a struggle with believers in God. Temples were destroyed and closed, monks, at best, were sent to Siberia. But to understand God and his plan for each person, you need to go through a series of difficult tests. Even in very ancient Vedic scriptures about the Slavic peoples there is a section where it is written that the age of enlightenment on earth will begin with them, but the path to God will be open to them through suffering. Because of this mercy from above, in our countries there is such chaos, godlessness, vanity, deceit and wars. People cannot understand God's plan, but we can take the right path only by listening to his disinterested servants. Working hard in various trades, without even graduating from high school (only four classes), by the age of 40, Vladimir fell ill with tuberculosis. And being in the hospital, seeing how many people suffer and die there, he made a vow to the Lord that if he does not let him die, then he will give his life to him and go to monks.

After his death, a great confrontation began. In which direction there will be changes - depends on the people themselves, their thoughts, actions. If everyone prays and tries very hard to live by the laws, despite different languages, countries, religions, then on earth, although not completely, but the kingdom of God is approaching. And all people will live happily even here, but this time will not be long, so it is better to hurry up to accept the instructions of saintly persons.
