Photo and description

The Konstantin-Eleninsky monastery is a new female Orthodox monastery, which is located in the village of Leninsky (Happolo) in the Vyborg district, near the resort places of Komarovo and Repino.

There has never been an Orthodox church in this village. Previously, these territories were part of the Principality of Finland, and the population professed mainly Lutheranism. The Orthodox lived in Roshchino, where their temple was located.

In 1998, the Orthodox community was created in the village of Leninsky. A place was left for the construction of the temple, which remained from the burnt club. The construction of the temple was carried out at the expense of ctitor K.V. Goloshchapova. The laying of the church in the name of Saints Constantine and Helena took place in June 1998, and in February 1999, domes were already installed on the church. In December 1999, eight bells were raised at the belfry. In 1999, the first service in the church took place at the Christmas post, and since May 2000, services have been constantly held here. In 2001, the church was consecrated by His Holiness Patriarch Alexy.

For several years, the temple acted as a parish. In 2006 At the request of the Metropolitan of St. Petersburg Vladimir, at a meeting of the Holy Synod, it was decided to open the Konstantin-Eleninsky Convent in the village of Leninsky. The nun of the monastery became the nun Hilarion. The first sisters arrived here from the Novodevichy Convent of St. Petersburg.

Now there are three temples on the territory of the monastery: the church of Konstantin and Elena, the baptismal church of the Nativity of Christ and the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The relics of St. Nicholas Church are the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, Spiridon Trifunsky, Anthony Dymsky, the healer Panteleimon, Alexander Nevsky, Seraphim of Sarov. In addition to these shrines, the monastery contains arks with particles of the relics of Konstantin and Elena, the Apostle Bartholomew, Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene, Holy Martyr Charalampius, Great Martyr Theodore Stratilates; the head of the disciple of Julitta and other saints, a particle of the Tree of the Cross of the Lord. Especially here, the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, which was painted in Athos in 2002, the icon of the Mother of God "The Tsaritsa" of Mount Athos, as well as the ancient image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, donated to the monastery by V.V. Putin, the icon of the Not Made Image of the Lord Vasnetsov.

At the entrance to the St. Nicholas Church there is a sculpture of St. Nicholas, which he presented to the monastery of Z. Tsereteli. Opposite the church of Konstantin and Elena there is another sculpture - the figure of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky (sculptor A. Charkin). This sculpture was nominated for the competition of the monument to A. Nevsky in the square near the Alexander Nevsky Lavra. But another work won the competition. Near the monument to Alexander Nevsky there are memorial plaques with the names of those who died in the battles of 1941-45. and other wars of the inhabitants of the village. May 9, local residents gather near the memorial, a memorial service for the dead is served. There is a Sunday school at the monastery, in addition, an almshouse for the elderly church and clergy is being built. The monastery accepts children from Sunday schools, disabled pilgrims, laborers with the blessing of their parish priests. Up to thirty people come to the monastery by prior arrangement. Pilgrims are provided with accommodation and meals.

And recently, another courtyard appeared at the temple - in Lintul (Ogonki village, Vyborgsky district). Holy Trinity Monastery was built at the expense of the landlords of the Nero with the blessing of John of Krondstadt. In 1939, during the Soviet-Finnish war, he was evacuated to Finland, where he continues to exist. But now, at the historic site in Lintul, the revival of the former monastery has begun, work is underway to develop a project for the temple and cell rooms. On August 4, 2008, before the former Lintul Monastery, a ten-kilometer procession was organized from the Konstantin-Eleninsky monastery.

The new Orthodox women's monastery is located in the village of Leninskoye (Fin. Happolo) of the Vyborg district, not far from the resort villages of Repino and Komarovo. On April 16, 2016, on the feast of the Praise of the Most Holy Theotokos, a group of pilgrims from the Savior-Pargolovsky Church visited the Konstantin-Eleninsky Nunnery and its courtyards.

On this day in one of the churches of the monastery - the temple of the Praise of the Blessed Virgin Mary was a patronal feast. It was in this temple that we were met with a smile and a blessing from the abbess of Hilarion.

Before the celebration of the liturgy, a water sanctuary was served. We managed to get some water, file notes, and venerate the relics of the holy saints, among which there are particles of the relics of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Constantine and Helena, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, Anastasia the Solvers, Paraskeva Pyatnitsa, and the Great Martyr. Panteleimon, St. Spiridon of Trimyphuntes, St. Basil the Great, St. Sergius of Radonezh, St. Seraphim of Sarov, the righteous Godfather of Jacob and Anna and many other saints of God.

After the festive liturgy and meal, we had a tour of the monastery. We visited three of the four churches of the monastery (reconstruction is underway in the fourth one), once again venerated the relics of the saints and miraculous icons, among which the icon of the Mother of God, the All-Tsaritsa (Pantanassa) of the Athos letter, before which a prayer service is served every Saturday after the liturgy with an akathist. Through this icon, the grace of healing and help to people suffering from cancer is abundantly pouring. The monastery also regularly on Mondays at 17.00 a prayer service with the akathist St. Spiridon of Trimyphuntus.

The guide told us about the history of the creation and reconstruction of the monastery. The Konstantin-Eleninsky Monastery is located in the center of the village of Leninskoye, Vyborg District, Leningrad Region (historically - Haapala, which means “Aspen” in Finnish). Until 1918, these lands were the Principality of Finland, which was part of the Russian Empire, then - the territory of an independent state with the Finnish population of the Lutheran religion. After the war, the Finnish village of Haapala was renamed the village of Leninskoye and a state farm of Russian immigrants was organized. On June 28, 1998, the church was laid in honor of Saints Equal to the Apostles Constantine and Helena, and on September 11, 2001 His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II performed the rite of consecration of the church. Currently, there are 4 churches in the monastery: Konstantin-Eleninsky, Nikolsky, in honor of the Nativity of Christ and in honor of the Praise of the Most Holy Theotokos. In the Church of the Nativity of Christ, the sacrament of baptism is performed by complete immersion.

We also saw on the territory of the Konstantin-Eleninsky Monastery a monument to Alexander Nevsky praying in front of the icon of the Kazan Mother of God, who took second place in the competition of monuments on Alexander Nevsky Square in St. Petersburg, so he was not placed there, but found his place in the monastery .

We also met in the Konstantin-Eleninsky monastery a former parishioner of the Spaso-Pargolovsky temple, who has been living in this monastery for several years, found our quiet joy here, although at first I really missed our church. After an interesting and informative tour of the Konstantin-Eleninsky Monastery, we headed to his Holy Trinity Lintul Compound, located in the village of Ogonyki (historically Lintula, which means “bird's place” in Finnish), 10 km from the village of Leninsky. There we were met by the hospitable nun Maria, who showed us a new two-story church, recreated from photographs on the site of the completely destroyed temple of the Lintul Holy Trinity Convent, dating back to 1895. Father John of Kronstadt was directly involved in its dispensation.

The nun Maria told us about the history of the restoration of the monastery. On Spirits Day, June 16, 2008, the first prayer service was served next to the ruins of the temple. Garbage removal, cleaning of the territory has begun. On August 4, 2008, the first religious procession from the Konstantin-Eleninsky Monastery with a bowed wooden cross was made, which was installed on the site of the altar of the Holy Trinity Church. Since then, religious processions have been held annually, gathering more and more participants. Some of our parishioners have already participated in these religious processions and with their own eyes gladly noticed the good changes in this holy place. In 2013, after the procession, the first liturgy after 74 years of desolation was celebrated in Lintul Church.

After a wonderful story about the miraculous reconstruction of the Lintul Monastery, we went to the St. Petersburg Metochion of the Konstantin-Eleninsky Monastery - the Cathedral of Andrei Kritsky on 9 Riga Avenue.

The history of the construction of this temple is associated with a miraculous case of the salvation of the royal family when a train crashed on October 17, 1888 at the Borki station (60 km south of Kharkov). The first rector of the church from 1892 to 1913 was the holy martyr Philosopher Ornatsky (+1918). Currently, the Church of St. Andrew of Crete is a courtyard of the Constantine-Eleninsky monastery. Andrei Kritsky’s Church is located on the third floor, and on the first floor of the same building there is a museum of Christian culture, which we visited with great joy and pleasant surprise and recommend it to everyone. Guided tours are by appointment. You can register on the website http://christianculture.ru/

This small monastery is located in the eastern part of the city of Vladimir, in Konstantino-Eleninsky passage, near Dobroselskaya street.
The village of Good was formed from a settlement that settled near the monastery. In ancient acts for the first time it is mentioned in the letter of deed of Metropolitan Gerontius of 1478. Then the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker already existed here. The fate of this church during the sixteenth century remains unknown. Its existence in the village of Dobry in the 17th century is confirmed by an entry in the patriarchal salary books, in which under 1628 it reads: "the church of the great miracle worker Nicholas in the village of Dobry the Tsar-Konstantinovsky monastery ..." In 1694, an independent clergy continued to exist at this church: Pop Peter Dmitriev, deacon Senka Timofeev, and in 1710 pop Stefan Petrov.

The old church was dilapidated in 1720 and donated to the city of Vladimir for the construction of the Three Saints Church at the present Sergius Church after the fire. In 1730, at the request of the parishioners, a decree was given to build a new church instead of the dilapidated Nikolaevskaya. When this church was built, it is not known, but it existed until the beginning of this century.
At present, there is a stone church in the Good Village; it was built in the second half of the 19th century by the archimandrite of the monastery here, Abraham. Upon the abolition of the monastery, the church was transferred to the village. In 1865, the church was widespread in length, and two side chapels were arranged in the meal. And in 1885, a rather high stone bell tower was built at the church, which is clearly visible even from the city center.
In 1935 the church was closed, it was first used as a warehouse, then a club was located there, then a bottling wine shop, in the 80-90s. filmstrip shop. On May 20, 1950, the USSR Council of Ministers adopted a resolution on the transfer of the villages of Dobroe and Krasnoe to the city limits of Vladimir. Thanks to this decision, the city of Vladimir expanded its territory immediately to 60 hectares. The following month, the Executive Committee of the City Council approved a project for the detailed planning and development of neighborhoods on collective farm lands in former villages.
A green protective zone, mastered by a chemical plant, and 240 sections of individual construction were to be placed here. On May 9, 1957, by decision of the Executive Committee of the City Council No. 933, several streets of the former villages of Dobroe and Krasnoe were renamed at once. Since in these villages there were streets with the same names as in Vladimir. And in order to avoid confusion, it was decided to rename them.
The main street of the village of Dobry was called Moskovskaya, it was first renamed to Dobroselsky passage, and later to Dobroselskaya street. Gorkovskaya street became Mayakovsky street. Peace Street received the name Minin. In Khrushchev's time, villages turned into sleeping quarters. In September 1994, the church was returned to the ROC and re-lit. On April 14, 1996, a 3-pound bell was installed on the bell tower, donated to the church from the city administration in honor of the 1000th anniversary of the city of Vladimir.
In January 2003, the Holy Bogolyubovsky Monastery was transferred to the premises of the former Konstantin-Eleninsky parish. Since February 2003, with the blessing of the Holy Synod, the Constantine-Eleninsky parish was renamed the Aleksievsky Constantine-Eleninsky Monastery, the abbot of which was appointed Abbot Abraham.

Despite the dense bedroom buildings of the second half of the twentieth century, old wooden houses are still preserved in these places, but modern cottages are gradually replacing them. For example, a house on the street 40 years of October.
